‘Small-but-smart’ storage
Up to 2.4kWh
For customers who want to get started with solar battery storage at an affordable price, the new Enphase AC battery is the ideal solution. Priced at $4,990 fully installed, it can be added to any solar power system and provides easy-to-understand intelligence about your energy consumption. Additional battery units can be installed later at around half the price. Enphase is a great option if you want to increase your energy independence in incremental steps.

Using a high-tech battery from LG Chem, the South Korean company with the biggest share of the grid-connected battery storage market in Australia, this system will power a typical home throughout the evening and provides superior performance to many of the other ‘big brand’ options.

Large battery system

If you have an existing solar power system, and you want to add a battery storage system that’s going to power your home when the sun’s gone down, then this is it. Available around September 2016, this system will use a brand new battery storage system from LG Chem that can be added to any existing solar power system to provide larger-scale storage – from 7kWh to 10kWh – at a price that’s making other battery companies sit up. This one’s well worth the wait, we reckon!

The not-so-fine print
What does the price include?
- Prices are for a standard installation. They include all components and installation.
- All prices include GST
- The price also includes a free home visit during normal working hours once you have paid a 10% deposit. This visit by a qualified installer gives you a chance to ensure that your home is suitable for solar and battery storage and to ask any questions you like. If you decide not to proceed, the deposit will be refunded. (Note that if you decide not to have a home visit, failure to provide accurate information to the supplier over the phone or in photographs may result in increased costs to you).
- For the Complete System, prices are net of STCs (Small-scale Technology Certificates) which you assign to the MASH solar supplier, Sunergy, who claims them on your behalf. STCs act like a subsidy for solar power. Without the STCs, your solar power system would cost around 25-30% more. STCs are NOT available for battery storage systems.
- Note: terms and conditions are subject to change without notice, although every effort will be made to keep them constant.
What’s NOT included in the price?
- For the Complete System, the only cost that is not included in the price is the amount you will be charged by your electricity retailer for reconfiguring your meter for solar. That amount is usually around $60-$100 and is normally added to your first bill after the solar installation.
