450 solar rooftops have been installed in Mount Alexander Shire, Macedon Ranges and nearby in the last 18 months through the MASH community solar bulk-buy program.
Round 1 of the program, MASH1, resulted in 202 installations. There was an interim round, MASH 1.1, which had 25 installations. And now MASH2, the second full round, has achieved 225 new installations bringing the total to 450.
MASH2 closed for registrations on Monday 29 February; those who registered still have time to place their order if they do so quickly.
We are anticipating that the total number of MASH solar rooftops will be around 470 or 480 once this second round closes for orders, said Jo Kaptein, Project Officer at the Hub Foundation.
We are delighted with this result; the level of interest has been fantastic.
The MASH program is organised by the not-for-profit Hub Foundation in Castlemaine.
